Calabogie Peaks Resort is a 4-season resort in the municipality of Greater Madawaska, Renfrew County in Eastern Ontario, Canada. It is located 80 kilometres (50 mi) west of Ottawa, and was founded in 1970. The resort accommodation includes Dickson Manor, a 25 room boutique hotel, one to three bedroom condominiums and two small cottages. On site guests enjoy the indoor swimming pool, outdoor hot tub, exercise room, beach and lake and resort wide Wi-Fi.
Calabogie Peaks Resort is the host venue for the Canadian Wake Surf Nationals. The reason that Calabogie is such popular “cottage” country is that, unlike many other remote locations, the lake and surrounding area offer so many activities to explore. For those competing or attending the event, you can find several ways to have a great time, including kayaking, canoeing, paddle boats, stand up paddleboards, fishing, golfing, hiking, tennis, basketball, ATV trails, beach volleyball, rock climbing, and tours of the lake (just to name a few).
Below is a gallery of some of the activities that Calabogie Peaks has to offer. There’s so much that you may want to consider booking a week’s vacation around the event.
